We got off the boat in Edfu this morning. With many more boats on the Nile than can be accomodated at the docks, the riverboats would stack up next to each other as many as five deep, with their doors aligned with each other. Then we would walk from our boat through several other boats to get to the dock. We visited the Temple of Horus, the falcon headed god. The temple is virtually complete and its reliefs retain much of their original color.
