We spent the day
in Petra, the most famous and amazing site in Jordan. It
is the legacy of the Nabataeans,
an Arab people who settled in southern Jordan more than 2000 years ago.
Petra is a UNESCO world
heritage site and one of the New
7 Wonders of the World. The entrance to the ancient city was literally
right outside of our hotel. We started out with about a half-mile walk downhill
on a gravel road with a side for horses and a side for pedestrians.
