After lunch at the Basin restaurant, most of the group headed back towards the hotel. Mike went with 3 other adventurous people and one of our guides to the Monastery. Most people were put off by the warning that it is about 900 steps up the mountain, but we made it in about an hour. The Monastery is as impressive as the Treasury. It is much larger but not as ornate.
