After seeing Karnak Temple, we boarded our riverboat for lunch. It was the Sonesta St. George.
Following lunch we headed for the West Bank of Luxor to see the Tombs of the Nobles. On the way, we passed the Colossi of Memnon. They are 75 ft. high, one thousand ton statues of Amenhotep III. We stopped for a quick photo op.
In the few minutes we were stopped, we were descended upon by vendors as usual. One guy tried to sell me a set of unpainted figurines made of plastic or fiberglass for $100. He followed me back to the bus and kept dropping his price until I finally bought the set for $10. He probably still got the better end of the deal, but at least we finally had a souvenir.
We continued on to the tomb of Ramose.
